Nightwalker - Princess Mononoke / Paul Redmond, Purple Feather Cake Design

I jumped at the chance to do this piece because I've wanted to do an ultraviolet reactive cake for ages. That and there's just not enough cakes with mohicans :)

San and Moro the Wolf - Princess Mononoke / Tanya Ross - Novel T Cakes

I chose Princess Mononoke for a couple of reasons, I love animals and I love making cakes, so an animal cake is a great way to indulge both of these loves. Also, I love the story too, come on, a girl that rides around on an amazing giant white wolf, communing with the forest spirits and setting the world to rights....she is living the dream! Really enjoyed getting to make a cake in this style, and this fabulous collaboration has given me the opportunity to try out a lot of new techniques and styles, delighted to be a part of it all.

Lady Eboshi - Princess Mononoke / Victoria Ryan, Bella Cakes

My name is Victoria Ryan from Bella Cakes, in Clonmel. I chose Lady Eboshi, leader of Irontown as my piece. She is such an interesting and ruthless character, on the one hand dedicated to, and protective of, the lesser off inhabitants of her town, and on the other hand, extremely power hungry and intent on destroying the Great Forest Spirit. My favourite phrase from the movie is when Lady Eboshi says "Cut off a wolf's head and it still has the power to bite."
